Mighty Manx one step from glory

by isleofman.com 3rd June 2014
The Ellan Vannin football team go for glory in Sweden tomorrow lunchtime (Sunday).
They take on the French county of Nice in the final of the ConIFA World Football Cup.
It’s the biggest test yet for the Manx side who were 250-1 outsiders to win the competition at the start of the 12-team tournament.
Despite a 4-2 triumph over their opponents in a group match last Tuesday, it’s understood the French side rested a number of players in that game.
A number of Island pubs are showing the match which kicks off at midday Manx time.
