by isleofman.com 3rd June 2014

It's been confirmed a rider was killed in a crash during this afternoon's Superstock TT race.

Karl Harris, 34, from Sheffield died after an incident at Joey's during the second lap of the race. A professional motorbike racer, he made his TT races debut two years ago and was a triple British Supersport Champion and British Superbike podium finisher.

TT clerk of the course Gary Thompson said: 'Karl was one of the great characters in the race paddock. His infectious enthusiasm and sense of humour lit up many race meetings. He was a hugely talented rider and will be sorely missed.'

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.

Yesterday, 65 year old experienced road racer Bob Price from Gloucester was killed in a crash during the Supersport race.
