TT star John McGuinness set a new lap record of over 117mph in today's TT Zero for electric powered machines.

McGuinness beat Bruce Anstey into second position, despite having a wrist injury that has forced him to pull out of today's Supersport race. Third place went to Rob Barber - a fantastic finish for the hard-working Ohio University team (pictured).

Conditions remain fine for both the Supersport and the second sidecar race later on this afternoon.
