Manual workers not to blame for Peel Road problems

by isleofman.com 4th June 2014
A union head says any criticism of the ?4.3 million Peel Road reconstruction should not be directed at manual workers.

There was an angry response last month when a severe downpour caused flooding and led to part of the arterial route into Douglas being closed.

However, Unite chief Eric Holmes says workers on the scheme voiced their concerns to management while the project was ongoing but were ignored.

He says the focus of any failings should be elsewhere.Clip 1
