Busiest TT since centenary

by isleofman.com 5th June 2014

The number of bikes at this year's TT festival are up by 7.5 per cent, according to the ferry operator.

Final ferry passenger figures for TT 2014 show the Steam Packet will have carried 12,050 motorbikes and 36,800 passengers to the Isle of Man between May 21 and June 6.

It makes this the busiest festival since the centenary TT in 2007.

Looking ahead to next year, demand is already 'substantially higher', says the Steam Packet, than this time last year. When bookings for 2015 opened on May 26th, the number of bookings made in the first 10 hours – 2,500 – was up 41 per cent on last year.
