IOM Bankers Association issue warning regarding phishing emails

by isleofman.com 5th June 2014

The Isle of Man Bankers Associatio have advised that local banks have received reports that local based customers have received suspicious emails asking them to supply personal information. The emails are very authentic in appearance, which may convince some of our customers that they are genuine.

They would advise customers not to respond to these emails or to click on any attachments or links. Banks would never ask customers for their full pin and passwords, or debit card information.

If you believe your account may have been compromised as a result of the attack please contact your bank immediately.
