The first man to win four consecutive Parish Walk titles has literally walked away with the Continental Centurion event in Rotterdam.
Jock Waddington, pictured with other members of the Manx contingent, won the endurance event at the weekend, walking 100 miles in 20 hours six minutes and 53 seconds. Other locals who performed amazingly well in sweltering conditions were Jane Foster, coming fourth in 21 hours and 22 minutes, Jayne Farquhar who was placed 13th with a time of 23 hours and 34 minutes, just ahead of 14th placed Ed Walter in 23 hours and 36 minutes, who tied with Louise Smith.
Simon Cox and Vinny Lynch were forced to retire from the event.

The Rotterdam Continental Centurion event is held each year the first weekend in June. All five Manx finishers are new European Centurions, having walking a hundred miles in less than 24 hours.
