by isleofman.com 9th June 2014

Peel lifeboat “Ruby Clery” was launched on Friday (6th June) night to assist a 16 foot cruiser with two persons on board which had broken down 5 miles west of Peel.

The “ Ruby” and her volunteer crew was launched at 9 pm under the command of coxswain John Hunter after a call was received saying a small cruiser with two jets skis in attendance had broken down 5 miles west of Peel. Initially one of the jet skis had taken the boat in tow but handed over to the Peel lifeboat which arrived back in Peel at about 10-10pm. Both persons on board were fit and well as were the two on the jet skis.
