Digital currency strategy announced

Could digital currencies be the next big thing for the Island’s economy?
The Department of Economic Development thinks so – and has launched a new strategy to foster the industry.
Digital currencies such as Bitcoin have rocketed in popularity around the world, but the Isle of Man is one of the first countries to announce such support.
Peter Greenhill is the Island’s director of e-business development.
He says business which produce, trade in or are otherwise involved in digital and virtual currencies are already on the Island:
