You can win a framed set of winter flora stamps if your entry into the Isle of Man Flower Festival photographic competition comes out top.
The festival runs from July 3 to 9 this year and features a photography competition.
Entries, which must be in by August 1, should be of a floral arrangement depicting the theme of Our Island Year of Culture, taken in one of the participating venues.
Isle of Man Post Office is providing the first prize.
Only prints are being accepted and they should be A5 size. Entries are limited to four per person and any photographs featuring people must have their written permission before submission.
Participants should write their name, phone number and the venue where the photo was taken clearly on the reverse of every photo. Entries from all ages are welcome; if under-18, please give your date of birth.
Judy Matthews, of the Isle of Man Flower Festival committee, said: ‘We’re delighted that Isle of Man Post Office is supporting our photography competition.
‘The festival is only a few weeks away now so everyone is busy making their final preparations. We hope it will be a wonderful event with something for all the family.’[
The glossy 32-page festival brochure is now available across the Island. It includes a map and details of all the participating locations.
As well as 19 churches, the Old Grammar School in Castletown and the Grove Museum in Ramsey are participating venues for this year’s Flower Festival.
