Belle out today

by isleofman.com 12th June 2014
A film made in the Isle of Man is out in UK cinemas today, with critics comparing it to 12 Years A Slave.

Shot on the Island last year, Belle tells the story of an illegitimate daughter of a Navy officer who’s raised by her uncle, Lord Mansfield.

He eventually helped lead the way to the abolition of slavery in Britain in the 18th century.

Star Tom Wilkinson says he’s delighted with the way the movie’s turned out:Clip 1
