Warning to homeowners after burglary

There is a warning to homeowners to secure their property as police investigate a burglary in Douglas.

It happened sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning in the area of Upper Castlemona Avenue.

Several items were taken including two laptops and chargers and an external hard drive.

It is being described as an "opportunistic incident", so police are urging people to secure their properties to stop them becoming a target.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Lord Street police station or Crimestoppers.
