Man accused of armed robbery appears in court

A 38-year-old man charged with carrying out an armed robbery in Douglas has appeared in court via video link.
Michael Bergquist, of no fixed abode, is accused of committing a robbery at RHS Jewellers on Prospect Hill on May the ninth.
He has not entered a plea on the robbery charge, although he has admitted stealing the motorbike involved in the incident, having no insurance and failing to meet the requirements of a provisional driving licence.
Mr Bergquist has been remanded in custody until July the 15th when a committal hearing will take place.
