Economic Development Minister John Shimmin has resigned in the wake of the ongoing row about the Sefton Group’s bailout deal.
On Tuesday, he’d offered to resign after independent legal advice said parts of the deal could be considered unlawful.
However, Chief Minister Allan Bell refused his resignation shortly before setting off to a business event in London.
