Police budgets can get no lower, says chief constable

The chief constable says the police's budget is now as low as it can safely be.
It's been announced today that police budgets have been cut, leading to the closure of police stations at Lord Street in Douglas and Port Erin.
There'll also be an 11% cut in officers to 210, including reductions in the number of detectives, roads policing and senior officers.
The changes begin to come in from next month.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts says he has to be realistic about the financial pressures the public sector is facing:
