MHK questions loss of driving scheme for young people

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2014
A scheme which teaches young motorists how to drive safely – and the consequences of poor driving – will be discussed in the House of Keys on Tuesday.
North Douglas MHK John Houghton says he’s heard the Drive Safe Live Long initiative offered by police, the fire service and paramedics has had to be scrapped.
He says the hard-hitting presentations in school had proved invaluable and he’ll ask Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson why it’s been withdrawn.
Mr Houghton says recent tragedies have proven the need for just such a scheme:Clip 1
