Castle setting for young musicians' concert

by isleofman.com 23rd June 2014
Castle Rushen is going to be the venue for an ambitious young musicians' concert next month (July).
Soundcheck is a project run by the Department of Education for people aged between 11 and 19.
It gives those interested in music access to rehearsal space, instrument use, PA equipment, advice and support.
It's the second time Soundcheck acts will have performed at the castle, and this year it forms part of the department's contribution to Island of Culture.
All sound and lighting will be done by young people and will include a laser display.
Youth Officer Dave Hattersley says last year's show got a great reaction.
Performances will be on July 5 and 6 starting at 6pm. You can get tickets from the Manx Museum, Castle Rushen or online at manxnationalheritage.im.
Students tickets are discounted.Clip 1
