Death by dangerous driving accused remanded

A St John’s man charged with causing death by dangerous driving has been committed to a court of general gaol.
Thirty year-old Donovan Kitching, who appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes on Tuesday, is accused of five offences, including causing the death of Gwen Valentine.
The 62-year-old from Winchester was visiting family when she was struck while out walking on the Tholt-y-Will Road on April 26.
Mr Kitching, who has been remanded in custody, is also facing charges including possession of drugs, driving while disqualified and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.
He will next appear in court on July 10.
