Armed Forces Day events

by isleofman.com 29th June 2014
Serving personnel will join local veterans this afternoon (Sun) as the Island marks Armed Forces Day.
Those in current conflicts will come together with their comrades of yesteryear in a march along Douglas promenade before a church service at the Villa Marina.
Motorists are reminded that the road will be closed to vehicles from Regent Street to Broadway between 2.45 and 3.30pm to allow the march to take place
The event will culminate in afternoon tea and an evening of entertainment.
One of the organisers Charles Wilson says there will be a significant representation.
