Views sought on company ownership

by isleofman.com 1st July 2014

The Manx Government has launched a consultation to gather views on identifying the true owners of companies.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron plans to create a public register of beneficial ownership to combat tax evasion. He's asked all the crown dependencies to do the same.

The consultation will seek views on the current regime in the Isle of Man and whether a centralised registry would improve transparency. It can be found at www.gov.im/lib/docs/co/consultations/beneficialownershipconsultationju.pdf
