MT finishing off 4G network, disruption possible

by isleofman.com 1st July 2014
Manx Telecom says work to finish off its 4G phone network over the summer may mean some disruption for its customers.
The company says the final phase of work on the 4G network is starting this week, eventually providing mobile data speeds seven times faster than its 3G service.
But as each base station is upgraded, Manx Telecom says there may well be some problems – and it’s apologising to its customers.
Work will take place in North Douglas in early to mid July, South Douglas in mid to late July and the south and west of the Island at the end of July.
