New minister looks forward to DED

The Island’s new Economic Development Minister has vowed to hit the ground running.


Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly succeeds John Shimmin in the role, a fortnight after he resigned following the Sefton loans affair.


Mr Skelly is moving from the Department of Infrastructure where he has been in charge for four months.


He admits a business-minded approach is needed in politics.Clip 1
