Stay away warning from MUA

The Manx Utilities Authority is pleading with children to stay away from high-voltage equipment which could easily kill them.

Yesterday, somebody deliberately damaged a substation behind the Ocean Ford garage in Castletown – ignoring warning signs to get to equipment carrying 11,000 volts.

Police are now investigating and the MUA says its engineers have carried out repairs.

But Alison Cottier says it’s vital the message about how dangerous substations can be gets through to youngsters.Clip 1
