World premiere at Cathedral tonight

Island musicians will perform a world premiere in the setting of St German’s Cathedral in Peel this evening (Thursday).

The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra, under the baton of Paul Dunderdale, will present a new work by a US composer who has travelled to the Island specifically to watch.

Clare Shore’s piece, entitled Midwinter, will be performed as part of the Island of Culture celebration which will also comprise many popular and local tunes.
