Pictured are Rosie Gault and Carole Whitfield from Hospice’s fundraising team with Andrew Wright and Graham Mitchell receiving a cheque for ?2,380. This amazing amount was raised through the 2 men riding 100 miles to raise funds for the local children’s hospice, Rebecca House. Graham, aged 46 of Glen Maye and his friend, Andrew, aged 30 of Kirk Michael decided to replicate a mountainous stage of the Tour de France. The event was called “Ride for Jack” and involved criss-crossing the island’s highest peaks. In total they rode approximately 100 miles and climbed over 10,000 feet during that day.

The men had been touched by the story of a young boy called Jack, who at the age of 5, who sadly died of cancer recently. You can still donate by visiting Just Giving at http://www.justgiving.com/RideforJack.

They were both delighted to present the amazing amount of ?2,380 to the local children’s hospice,  In addition they sent ?820 to Ronald McDonald House/Alder Hey.
