New security measures at airport

The Island’s director of ports says she understands more security measures means more frustration for passengers.

But Ann Reynolds says making sure you know what you need to do at Ronaldsway Airport before setting off can help you avoid misery when you try to board a plane.

This week, new rules were introduced following extra security in the US and UK – now passengers will have to show phones and other electronic devices can be turned on before being allowed on a flight.

Miss Reynolds says she can understand why some might grumble at the added inconvenience:Clip 1
