MHK's views 'populist headline chasing' - chief minister

by isleofman.com 12th July 2014

The chief minister says he’s extremely disappointed at the comments of a backbench MHK.

Earlier this week, Michael member Alf Cannan expressed his dismay that the Cabinet Office was advertising for an executive director of policy – a newly created post.

Mr Cannan said it was yet another highly-paid senior officer role - the salary for the position could be up to ?97,000.

However, Allan Bell says those comments are misleading and amount to ‘populist headline chasing’.
