Last chance to comment on disability access guide

by isleofman.com 13th July 2014

If you want to have your say on the quality of the Island's disability access guide then time is very much running out.
The deadline for submissions to a public consultation on it is later today, 13 July.
The guide offers reviews of more than 1,200 venues in the Isle of Man, providing information from basic contact details to the level of facilities available to those with disabilities, such as ramps, large-print leaflets, toilets, parking and hearing loops.
The government's contract with the current provider of the access guide, UK based DisabledGo, expires this summer - and social care chiefs want to know how useful it's been before the contract is re advertised.
More information, and the two online surveys - one for individuals and one for organisations - can be found on the government's website at gov.im/consultations
