Pupils offered chance to tread Gaiety boards

by isleofman.com 13th July 2014

Pupils from three Island high schools are being offered a rare opportunity to put on a play at the Gaiety Theatre next week.
Castle Rushen, Ramsey Grammar and Ballakermeen high schools are taking part in the Island's first Schools Play Festival.
Year 9 and 10 pupils have the acting roles, with students from across the school in charge of technical operations.
Each group has just a day to get in, run a full rehearsal on the Gaiety stage and perform their play for one night only!
It's aimed at pupils who haven't been involved in performing drama, music or dance before and is an Island of Culture event.
The festival runs from Tuesday 15 - Thursday 17 July. Tickets are available at the Gaiety Theatre box office, the Welcome Centre and via villagaiety.com.
