Island can hold its own against UK roadracing

Could making it easier to set up roadracing in the UK lead to increased competition for the Island’s race festivals?

On Friday, Prime Minister David Cameron announced plans to give local authorities the power to allow roadraces, replacing the current system which requires permission from the UK parliament.

The news could mean exporting Manx expertise to the UK as race organisers there start planning to hold meetings.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says the Isle of Man has strengths which could withstand any UK competition:Clip 1
