IGCSE should cut UK political interference, claim

The chief executive of the Department of Education and Children says new exams for 14 to 16-year-olds will not be subject to as much political interference from the UK.
Professor Ronald Barr's comments come after it was confirmed in Tynwald the Island would adopt the International GCSE.
A change was decided upon once it became apparent England was set for a major shake-up of 14-16 education, under the now former education minister there, Michael Gove.
Speaking live on Mandate earlier, Professor Barr said the IGCSE's introduction should bring more stability: Clip 1
