Guernsey has business advantage over IoM, claims airline boss

The CEO of Guernsey’s airline has mocked the Isle of Man's reliance on easyJet to travel to and from Gatwick.
Aurigny Air Services, owned by the Guernsey government, has recently welcomed its first jet plane to provide the London link.
The purchase was made after Flybe pulled its routes between Gatwick and the Channel Island, as well as between Gatwick and the Isle of Man.
CEO Mark Darby told Travel Daily ‘If we hadn’t bought the aircraft we would be in the same position as the Isle of Man – at the mercy of easyJet instead of what is really needed here’.
