Island welcomes old friends

A Manx charity’s playing host to a group of children from a poor Eastern European country that’s still struggling to deal with the fallout from a nuclear disaster more than a quarter of a century ago.

The Friends of Chernobyl’s Children organises trips to the Isle of Man for Belarusian children each summer.

They get to sample all facets of Island life, with Manx businesses and individuals keen to help them enjoy their stay.
