Meetings for people affected by care regulations

by isleofman.com 23rd July 2014
Anyone affected by new care regulations is being invited to meet with the department responsible for them.

The Regulation of Care Act, which received royal assent last October, is being implemented by the Department of Health and Social Care.

The ultimate aim is to regulate the standards of certain services offered to people young and old.

This will range from childminding to care offered to the elderly.

Head of Registration and Inspection Mark Campell says the Regulation of Care is a very significant piece of legislation which will have far reaching consequences.

He acknowledges change can be unsettling, and wants to engage with those who will be affected.Clip 1
