Well-known TT fan killed

by isleofman.com 23rd July 2014
A German TT visitor who became well-known for camping at a spot in the north of the Island has died.

Michael Pfeifer headed up a group of German fans who've visited the festival every year since 1981.

They’re well-known among visitors and locals for their campsite on the corner of the Ballaragh Road in Laxey, known as Gruseleck.

58 year old Mr Pfeifer, from Duisburg, was killed in a motorcycle accident involving a truck last Thursday.

A statement on his website says he loved the Isle of Man and the motorbike fans he met – and asks friends to remember him as the “wonderful person he was.”
