Promenade cyclists warned

by isleofman.com 24th July 2014
Police are warning cyclists if they ride inconsiderately or dangerously, they can be prosecuted.

It’s after a number of incidents on the Douglas Promenade Walkway were reported to officers over the past few days.

Police say in the worst example a young girl was knocked off her bike by another cyclist – fortunately, she wasn’t injured.

Officers say all promenade users should respect others - in law the walkway is classed as a road, meaning those involved in incidents could end up in court.
