The Island’s government has sent ?50,000 in emergency funding to Sierra Leone.

An outbreak of Ebola in the country has already claimed the lives of hundreds of people.

The International Development Committee has donated the money to Save the Children who are working to prevent the spread of the deadly disease to more parts of the country.

Chairman of the committee, Phil Gawne MHK, says the Island’s contribution will help Save the Children deliver important education and healthcare support to those who need it most.
