Cannan plans toilet tax changes

Manx Utilities Authority chairman Alfred Cannan MHK says he is planning to make some changes to the much-criticised toilet tax.

The ?50 flat fee sewerage charge was introduced earlier this year, despite petitions and public meetings opposing it.

Mr Cannan voted against the charge he's now been made responsible for administering as head of the MUA.

And although he couldn’t give any details, speaking on Manx Radio he said he had some ideas about ways to make it fairer:Clip 1
