Support your local panto!

The local pantomime is a tradition many of us enjoy each Christmastime. However, is it just the story or the performance that captures us? Or is it both? Well now is your chance to find out.

Stage Struck Productions are pleased to present the Battle of the Pantos to be held at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday 6th September 2014 proudly supported by The Isle of Man Arts Council. It will be compered by the talented Gary Chatel who is no stranger to the pantomime stage himself and will be offering his expertise and putting the competitors at their ease.

This will be a ‘friendly’ competition (although they each want to win) between Arbory Players, Port St. Mary Cabaret Party, Peel Pantaloons and Marown Youth & Community Players. Each have been tasked with performing a 20 minute version of a pantomime they have previously presented to a live audience.

The judging panel is to include panto genius, David Artus who also directed this year’s massively successful show, ‘The Full Monty’ and the wonderful Chairman of the Arts Council and supporter of all things Arts, Geoff Corkish MBE MLC. Magnificent(ish) Trophies will be awarded for the overall winner with additional awards for separate categories.

The four acting groups involved in these pantos are working incredibly hard to keep community spirit alive and kicking here in Isle of Man. They are working together to ensure that this is a fun-filled family night with lots of laughs and audience participation and hopefully their local supporters and islanders in general will be out in force to offer up the loudest claps, cheers and Boos in the land!

Tickets now on sale from the Villa Gaiety www.villagaiety.com Tel: 600555 or visit the welcome centre.  Prices: From ?13.00 Family tickets available.

So let the competition begin…
