“Music to dance, clap and sing to”, is how the organiser of one of the most hotly awaited shows to come to the Island is describing the musical feast of Motown and soul “Manx Dancing in the Streets”.
The show will be on for one night only on Saturday 30th August at the Villa Marina, Douglas.
This event is being supported by PokerStars through its Helping Hands programme.
Tickets are available from the box office on 600555 and at only ?15 for an adult and ?10 for concessions you won’t want to miss this music extravaganza. Guests will include “The Supremes”, “The Temptations” among many other completely rocking acts.
The organisers have had previous hits with Saturday Night Fever and Viva Manx Vegas. All shows have raised funds for local charities. Hospice was the lucky recipient last year and is delighted to have been nominated this year again.
PR and Marketing Manager for Hospice, Mary Doyle said: “I worked with Colette Wylde and Michelle McCauley last year and went to the show Viva Manx Vegas and I can honestly say I was astounded at the talent and depth of the performers that appeared.” “I could have been in Vegas!” “This year I am looking forward to being transported to Detroit.”
“The girls are extremely professional, everything is so slick and wonderful – it is a great night out!” “We are also very grateful that they raise a lot of money for our charity and to be nominated again this year to be supported is very much appreciated.”
Colette said: “I am passionate about music, dancing and supporting our local community so working with Hospice again and getting another terrific night of entertainment off the ground is a perfect fit to meet all these desires.”
“I would like to thank PokerStars through their Helping Hands programme without whom we simply could not have put on this show.” “Additionally I would like to thank the cast and crew for their commitment and hard work.”
Sue Hammett, Head of Corporate Giving at Pokerstars added: ‘We are delighted to be supporting ‘Manx Dancing in the Streets’ which promises to be a musical spectacular that in the process will raise essential funds for Hospice Isle of Man’
