Stay safe at sea this summer

by isleofman.com 29th July 2014
The RNLI is reminding people to stay safe around the Island’s coast this summer.

Preparation for a trip out is particularly important if your boat has been in the harbour for a while, and the organisation is stressing the importance of wearing appropriate life jackets, checking fuel levels and knowing the tide times.

If you would like the RNLI to come and help you with checks prior to a summer outing, contact your local station.

Ed Christian and Dawn Dickens from Ramsey Lifeboat say you also can’t rely on a mobile phone when at sea – a radio is a much safer bet:Clip 1
