Men hospitalised by 'legal highs'

by isleofman.com 17th August 2014
Three men needed hospital treatment after taking what police believe were some sort of so-called 'legal highs'.
It happened on Friday evening in Port Erin at the shelters on the promenade, while the beach racing was going on.
Sergeant Gary Heaton of Port Erin police station says when officers arrived two of the men had already been taken to hospital in a serious condition and the third was being treated by paramedics.
Officers cordoned off the area, and recovered a black foil packet, which contained a number of small blue and pink tablets with a horizontal line across the top.
Sergeant Heaton says the packaging had “NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” written across the front of it.
He says if you come across similar tablets or are offered them to take he would strongly advise against doing so.
All three men have subsequently been released from hospital.
If anybody has any information about Friday night's incident call police headquarters on 631212.
