Steam Packet Chairman apologises over Manannan problems

by isleofman.com 3rd September 2014
The Chairman of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has apologised to passengers affected by recent problems to the fast-craft Manannan.
Robert Quayle says two issues have arisen in recent weeks.
Firstly, a broken crankshaft to one of the four engines which has slowed the vessel down.
Secondly, electrical problems which caused disruption to sailings during the Festival of Motorcycling.
Mr Quayle says the issue led to the Manannan being stranded in Liverpool overnight and the cancellation of the following days sailings to and from Belfast:-
