Mayor of Douglas welcomes Liverpool City Councillor

The Mayor of Douglas Stan Cain recently welcomed one of the UK’s most senior and long-serving councillors, Liverpool City Council’s Richard Kemp CBE to the mayor’s parlour.

Mr Kemp is leader of the Council’s three-strong Liberal Democrat group and international spokesman for the Local Government Association of England and Wales. During his visit he presented the Mayor with a copy of Liverpool 800, produced to celebrate the city’s 800th anniversary in 2007.
