Six month old baby died from cot death

by isleofman.com 15th September 2014
An inquest has heard a six month old baby was the ‘very sad and tragic victim’ of cot death.
The inquest into the death of Kai John Robson-McKellar from Douglas was reconvened this afternoon (Monday), after being initially opened in December last year.

Coroner Jayne Hughes found the cause of death to be natural causes, specifically Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
He was found dead on the morning of December 17 and whilst he had fallen out of his single bed during the night, it had not caused him any injury or in any way contributed to his death.
Mrs Hughes stressed her condolences to Kai’s young parents, and said to them ‘there was nothing anyone could, or should, have done differently’.
