Tenants' rights on agenda

The Office of Fair Trading will be giving evidence today to a House of Keys committee set up to examine proposed legislation on private rentals.


Chairman of the OFT, David Quirk MHK and chief officer Mike Ball will appear before the committee along with private landlord Ian Abrahams. The session starts at 2.30pm in the legislative buildings in Bucks Road, Douglas, and is open to the public.


The Landlord and Tenant (Private Housing) Bill aims to protect the rights of tenants.
