by isleofman.com 16th September 2014

Authors Sally Gardner and Sara Crowe will be in conversation at the Henry Bloom Noble Library on Saturday September 27th from 2 to 3pm.

Sally Gardner (pictured) is an author, illustrator, winner of the Costa Children’s Book Award and holder of a Carnegie Medal, an award presented annually to the writer of an outstanding book for children. She has written more than 25 books including I Coriander and The Red Necklace.

Severely dyslexic she is a spokesperson for the condition, arguing it is not a disability but a gift.

She will be talking about her career to Sara Crowe, whose debut novel Bone Jack was published earlier this year and recently named by The Telegraph one of the best young adult books of 2014.

Tickets for the event are free and available in advance from the library’s ground-floor counter.

The Henry Bloom Noble Library is at 10 Victoria Street, Douglas.
