Unique voting opportunity in Big Debate

by isleofman.com 16th September 2014
There will be a unique opportunity to vote on the challenges facing the future of the Island when The Big Debate takes to the road next month.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw says the series of meetings, which people will be personally invited to, signal "an unprecedented exercise in demorcratic engagement".
The idea is to hear the views of the quiet majority, who may not feel confident enough to speak up at more traditional public meetings.
Discussions will focus on three key areas; how government can be made smaller and smarter, creating an environment that responds well to people's needs and modernising the welfare state.
People will be able to submit their opnions anonymously using individual remote control devices, known as Power Vote.
Mr Robertshaw explains how it will work.Clip 1
