Find out about Bonwick baby nursery at open evening

by isleofman.com 16th September 2014

Bonwick Day Care Centre in Ramsey is hosting an open evening for parents to take a look around the baby nursery and meet staff. The Centre, in Lezayre Road, is home to the only baby nursery in the north of the Island and will be open from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday September 24th. Kelly Charman, Nursery and Play Manager at Bonwick Day Care Centre, said:

“This is an informal opportunity for parents and their children, or parents to be, to meet our two specialist baby care staff and have a look at the facilities over a cuppa and cake. We are the only nursery in the north of the Island which provides care for babies, and we do have a few places available for immediate start. We appreciate that parents want to see for themselves what a nursery can offer and look forward to showing all those who attend the ‘home from home’ atmosphere which we provide for all our nursery children.”

The baby nursery has a large outdoor area and garden, which provide a safe and natural environment for the babies to explore. Bonwick Day Care Centre also offers day care for children up to pre-school age, and hosts an After School Club and Holiday Club. This means that Kelly and her colleagues can provide consistent care in a familiar, stable, environment through every stage of a child’s development. The Centre is currently in the final stages of working towards Manx Step Into Quality Award accreditation which is expected to be completed early next year. Achieving the award involves assessors carrying out detailed checks that cover a wide range of areas.
