Survivorship Conference later this month

by isleofman.com 17th September 2014
What can patients do to help themselves after surviving cancer?
That's one of the questions being posed at the first Isle of Man Survivorship Conference being held on the Island later this month.
It's been organised by the Cancer Services User Forum along with the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association.
It's estimated there could be over 2,000 cancer survivors currently living on the Island.
The event will will provide a cancer services plan update, hear direct experiences from survivors, discuss the role of the GP and examine what self-help measures are useful for those who have beaten the disease but may still face physical and emotional difficulties.
The conference is at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club on Friday, September 26, from 10.30am to 3.30 pm and entry is free, though expressions of interest would be welcomed by calling 650735.
